    I was setting an oscillator up the other day using what you taught and my clinical coordinator said you are completely wrong. I trained in a real level III NICU and used you as a refresher. We go from adults to NICU each round.

    So my grandma has an at home concentrator and a 100 ft hose. She says she feels more breathless on the concentrator than the bottles it charges up and we initially believed it was because of length. I guess it must be because of a significant difference in the purity level of the oxygen then. Do you have any ideas or recommendations on how to increase the oxygen level in her home to combat the low purity level?

    I wish that tubing was MODIFIABLE as to length and connectors! My client has a 35 foot apartment range of motion... and until recdntly, I could ONLY find 25 foot and 50 foot tubing! The 25 footer meant that the client could not reach the front door because the distance from the concentrator was too far... and the 50 foot tubing was constantly underfoot, under wheelchair wheels, getting split, kinked, stepped on, tripped over... what a nightmare! But the only ones I can find have built-on connectors at each end. I FINALLY found a 40 foot tubing... HALLELUJAH!... but there's still more tubing than we need!

    There's something that pops up in my mind as an idea. What if aside from the moon reflection there's planetary interconnectivity brought about by the space current in relation Earth atmospheric current wherein as the Carbon elements excessively deposited under Earth were stimulated by a stimulus because the exact Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide were exchanged in gas exchange, a particular stimulus by either nature or science could bring into space the over excess Carbon Dioxide as message courier moved by science thing interaction while the extra Carbon Dioxide deposit unmoved yet at the Electron transport chain ground effect and by the soil Compliment system as negative reserves which makes the Carbon Dioxide a vessel messenger or courier for other purposes in its layers from Earth to Space and vice versa, meaning if the over excess Carbon Dioxide have other usage than creating bonds underground for element minerals chemistry creation then could it be that as those Carbon Dioxide goes out in space to some other planets via space current with coded messages then Oxygen could also have been ferried into this planet Earth filtered by the Science difference per areas in space, a Gas exchange in space where those extra gases could have been processed and stored after being segregated and coloured according to properties in space gases.

    how do you determine your expiratory time on the avaps. Do you just calculate your tct? I just find it out there is no I:E ratio displayed compared to other Philip NIV machines

    • @rtclinic
      @rtclinic Місяць тому

      Exp time will be somewhat variable based upon the patient. That is one of the best attributes of AVAPS, it moves with the patients needs. But to get the actual Exp time you'll need to subtract the Itime from the TCT. You are on the right track!

    I have the exact same model. Read instruction book several times front to back and not once did it say how to put medication in cup, lol, so came here. First thing, in book for this model it says to breathe in deeply..so deep that you can't breathe in anymore and hold your breath!!!!!!!! You said complete opposite. I respect your opinion cause I can tell you are very good and professional, but don't understand why the company that actually made the nebulizer made the instruction book that stated specifically to inhale deeply until you can't breathe in anymore and to hold your breathe for a few seconds! In other words, according to book instructions, the way you inhaled at the beginning and held your breathe is the correct way

    Please review a very basic PFT test during normal inspiration, an adult routinely breathes at a peak inspiratory flow of about 1L/sec (60L/min). I agree that the average inspiratory flow is about 20 - 30 L/min but if we need to exceed the peak inspiratory flow we will need a higher flow rate?
